The Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company
invites singers to audition for chorus and principal
openings. Auditions are held each season at the
Community Church of Glen
Rock, 354 Rock Road, Glen Rock, NJ. Click

Our Spring 2010 production will be The Grand
Duke.. We're on the lookout for a wide range of
singers, from people who are professionally trained
to people who have never performed in public.
Good soloists are always desirable, but so are
singers who can simply stay on pitch and blend
well with other choristers. Knowledge of the works
of Gilbert & Sullivan is not a prerequisite.
A candidate for membership in our cast may audition
with any vocal music that feels comfortable. It
should be in English but does not have to be written
by Gilbert & Sullivan. If it does not come
from the upcoming show, the candidate should bring
sheet music for our accompanist to play.
Rehearsals will be held Monday and Thursday nights
from February through early May for spring shows,
and August through mid-November for fall shows,
although not everyone will be expected to attend
every rehearsal. Performances will take place
mostly during weekends in May and June for spring
shows, and in October through December for fall
